The skin contains many tissue types. One type includes nervous tissue. Because of this we are able to notice when things are hot or cold, and to detect pressure. Think of a time this week your nervous tissue warned your brain/body.

Last night I was going to drink a cup of coffee, but when i touched the cup, my hand shrank involuntary.I think that's because i didn't know what the temperature was, and i touched it and felt the cup is scalding, so my nervous tissue felt it and transmitted the message in order to warned my body and my hand shrank quickly and prevent from injury.

Today I went to wonderland. The weather was really cold~ I didn't wear too much, so I felt so cold, my skin started got gooseflesh. My nervous tissue felt the weahter was colder than my body temperature, then it sent the imformation to my brain said I'm cold now. Then I got gooseflesh.

Last night, i walked into my room and closed the door. I was so careless that clamp my finger. Then the nervous tissue told my brain it's painful, so my brain lead me to take out of my finger at once. That's why my finger was saved.
ReplyDeleteA few days ago, I was warming up some soup to have for dinner on the stove. It was heating up for quite a while, so i went to watch some T.V. When i returned to the kitchen, I saw that the soup was boiling over, probably for a while now. Without thinking, i went to reach for the handle to take it off of the healing element but forgot to use gloves since it was on for so long. My hand quickly retracted due to my nervous tissue telling my brain that the handle was VERY hot. If I had my hand on there any longer, I would have gotten burned.

ReplyDeleteSomething was wrong with my shower it would progressively get hotter QUICKLY, so i went in the shower turned it on and the water got boiling hot in no time, i quickly moved out of the way of the water and hit my self on the glass door...
