SNC 2D - Blog 3

As we finish our Biology unit, I would like you to reflect on the information learned throughout the course. Identify 1 interesting new fact from this unit, 1 question you now have and 1 way this information could impact your life.

ex. I thought it was interesting to learn about the similarities between stem cells and meristimatic cells (plants and animals). One question I now have is whether or not tissue regeneration will be possible in the future in all tissues and organ types. From now on, if I relocate a plant, will will make sure that I harvest an area with meristimatic tissue to ensure it will grow in the future.

I hope you enjoyed this unit as much as I did!

This post is due October 15th at 7pm.

  1. I thought it was interesting to learn about the differences between normal cells and cancer cells. One question I now have is if there's any effective ways to treat cancer and kill cancer cells. If this can be achieved in the future, then we can overcome a tough problem and people who have cancer won't suffer from pain anymore. It may not only improve our medical technology but also our life quality, safer and better.

  3. I thought it was interesting to learn the cell cycle. Because the cell cycle is the important part in cell's life and explain how the cell divide. One question i now have is if we can improve the speed in dividing, so we could handle the specific events. Like when you hunt yourself and you need more cells to fill it.

  4. I was really interesting to learn the different between normal cells and cancer cells. Today, so many people get cancer, it is sad to hear people get cancer that I know. I have never seen what a cancer cell looks like. After biology unit i learned a lot of things about cancer cell, such as what a cancer cell looks like, how a cancer cell make, why that's really bad for us, and what happen if a person get cancer.
